Your products and services have started migrating to Royal Bank of Canada. Check back throughout the weekend to find the status of the migration.

Thursday, March 28, 2024

  • HSBC Bank Canada branches will close at 12:00 PM local time. HSBC Bank Canada ATMs will no longer be available. Transactions fees will be waived if you use an RBC ATM with your HSBC Bank Canada debit card.

    Continue to use your HSBC Bank Canada debit card until your RBC client card (debit card) is active.

  • Your RBC chequing and savings accounts are available.
  • You can now use your RBC client card (debit card) to access your chequing and/or savings account(s) at ATMs, in stores at point-of-sale terminals and in RBC branches.

    Your previous debit card will no longer work.

  • Chequing and savings accounts are now active in RBC Online Banking and the RBC Mobile app. You can now pay bills, transfer funds, send Interac e-transfers, and more. Login or enrol in RBC Digital Banking.
  • RBC PH&N Investment Counsel investment accounts are available for viewing on RBC Wealth Management Online. However, up-to-date balances, positions and market values will not be reflected properly online until April 2. Your Investment Counsellor can assist you with access.
  • RBC Dominion Securities investment accounts are available for viewing on RBC Wealth Management Online. However, up-to-date balances, positions and market values will not be reflected properly online until April 2. Your RBC Invest by Phone Select Advisor can assist you with access and/or transactions at 1-888-506-4694.
  • Your mortgage balance is now viewable on RBC Online Banking and the RBC Mobile app. Please note: Some details regarding these accounts may not be current and will be updated upon completion of the migration.
  • Your personal loan and line of credit is now viewable on the RBC Mobile app, but unavailable to transact at this time. Please note: Some details regarding these accounts may not be current and will be updated upon completion of the migration.
  • Your global linked accounts (Global View) are now available in RBC Online Banking and the RBC Mobile app.

  • Your RBC credit card(s) is(are) now working. Remember to activate your card before using it. Your previous credit card(s) will stop working at 11:59 pm ET April 1.

  • The following savings and investing accounts are available.
    • RBC Direct Investing accounts are now available for trading. Sign in through RBC Online Banking, the RBC Mobile app or RBC Direct Investing online to access your account(s).

      If you have not yet enroled in RBC Digital Banking, enrol now.

    • Mutual fund and GIC accounts are now available to access within RBC Digital Banking and RBC branches or by phone.

  • You can now access your line of credit funds at an RBC branch. Access to the funds through ATMs, in stores at point-of-sale terminals, RBC Online Banking and RBC Mobile app will be available on April 3.
  • Former HSBC Bank Canada branches that were converted to RBC Royal Bank branches have reopened. Please visit the RBC branch locator for hours of operation.

  • Your Avion Rewards points balance is now available and you can access your points balance via Avionrewards.com or through the Avion Rewards Mobile App4.

  • Personal loan, line of credit and mortgage are now available to transact.

    You can access your migrated RBC Line of Credit and/or RBC Home Equity Line of Credit through your linked RBC chequing account.

  • Your RBC business accounts are now available. You can now access your funds, including any overdraft, to make payments. You will also be able to make deposits using your RBC client card (debit card).
    • Your RBC client card can now be used at ATMs, in stores at point-of-sale terminals and in RBC branches.
    • Your previous debit card will no longer work.
  • If you've onboarded to RBC Online Banking for Business, your business accounts are now available in RBC Online Banking for Business. Log in to RBC Online Banking for Business.
  • Your RBC business accounts are available in RBC Express. You can now access your funds, including any overdraft, to make payments. 
  • Your RBC PayEdge account is available via the RBC Business Banking Portal to send Interac e-Transfers.
  • You can now access the Online Tax Filing Service.
  • RBC PH&N Investment Counsel investment accounts are available for viewing on RBC Wealth Management Online. However, up-to-date balances, positions and market values will not be reflected properly online until April 2. Your Investment Counsellor can assist you with access.
  • RBC Dominion Securities investment accounts are available for viewing on RBC Wealth Management Online.   • Your credit and lending products are now available for drawdowns and payments.
  • Former HSBC Bank Canada branches that were converted to RBC Royal Bank branches have reopened. Please visit the RBC branch locator for hours of operation.

    You are able to make night deposits at the converted branches, with your existing key.

  • Your Avion Rewards points balance is now available and you can access your points balance via Avionrewards.com or through the Avion Rewards Mobile App4.

    • You will need to fund your RBC account(s) via free wire transfer in order to complete transactions.
  • Your RBC PayEdge account is available via the RBC Business Banking Portal to send Interac e-Transfers.
  • You can now access the Online Tax Filing Service.  You will need to fund your RBC account(s) via free wire transfer in order to process your tax payment.

  • You can now view and submit your core trade products and trade loans through RBC Global Trade™.

    • Your Receivables Finance and Supply Chain Finance products will remain serviced on HSBC systems and will migrate according to your migration plan.
  • You can begin executing trades on the RBC DX platform.
  • You can now access RBC Overdrive for your Automotive Finance Floor Plan and Wholesale Leasing.
  • Your credit and lending products are now available for drawdowns and payments.
  • Former HSBC Bank Canada branches that were converted to RBC Royal Bank branches have reopened. Please visit the RBC branch locator for hours of operation.

    You are able to make night deposits at the converted branches, with your existing key.

  • You can access and transact using your Online Foreign Currency Account. Additional reporting functionality in RBC Express will come online by Wednesday, April 3.
