We made every effort to migrate your former HSBC Bank Canada PIN to your RBC Business Client Card. If your PIN could not be migrated, or if you received more than one RBC Business Client Card, you should have received a new PIN and instructions on how to set a PIN of your choice. If you want to change your PIN, you may do so at any time at an RBC branch or RBC ATM. If you have lost or do not remember your PIN, please contact 1-800 ROYAL® 2-1 (1-800-769-2521) or speak to an RBC advisor at a branch.

If you did not receive your RBC Business Client Card please contact 1-800 ROYAL® 2-1 (1-800-769-2521) or speak to a RBC branch advisor.

RBC offers three types of Business Client Cards:

  • Primary Business Client Card

The Primary Business Client Card gives you access to all your business accounts and full-function access on RBC digital business banking. Each business can have one Primary Business Client Card.

The Primary Business Client Card allows individuals with full signing authority within the business to utilize the card as a form of authentication in RBC branches, at ATMs (RBC and other financial institutions), and during Point of Sale (POS) transactions.

Cards are printed with a 16-digit card number and business legal name.

  • Additional Business Client Card (ABCC)

The Additional Business Client Card allows individuals with full signing authority within the business to utilize the card as a form of authentication in RBC branches, at ATMs (RBC and other financial institutions) to select business deposit accounts and during Point of Sale (POS) transactions.

Additional Business Client Cards do not provide access to RBC digital business banking.

Cards are printed with the same 16-digit card number and business legal name as the Primary Business Client Card. As well, each ABCC includes an individual cardholder name and a unique 3-digit cardholder ID.

    Additional Business Client Card (ABCC)
  • Deposit-Only Agent Cards

Deposit-Only Agent Cards are for individuals who only make deposits to the primary account attached to the Primary Business Client Card on behalf of the business. Deposits can be accepted through any RBC ATM with no withdrawals or access to account information.

Cards are printed with the same 16-digit card number and business legal name as the Primary Business Client Card. As well, each Deposit-Only Agent Card includes a unique 3-digit cardholder ID. Deposit-Only Agent Cards do not require a PIN.

    Deposit-Only Agent Cards

You should have received the same number of RBC Agent (Deposit-Only) Cards that you had prior to the migration.

Daily limits are set at the client level and shared across all RBC Business Client Cards issued to the business (excluding Agent Cards which cannot be used for transactions).

If you had multiple accounts at HSBC Bank Canada, your RBC primary chequing account* may not be the same as your primary chequing account at HSBC Bank Canada.

If you would like to change the primary chequing account, please call 1-800-769-2520, reach out to your Relationship Manager or visit a branch, on or after April 1st, 2024.

*Note: Primary chequing account refers to the account that is the default account for withdrawals and deposits at ATMs and Point of Sale transactions made using your RBC debit card. If you had more than one chequing account, only one account can be in the Primary Position.

If you received more than one RBC Primary Business Client Card with the same card number:
Use the card with the higher issue number (located on either the front or back of the card) to create a log-in to enrol in RBC digital business banking, if applicable.

Although we encourage you to change your PIN at your earliest convenience at an RBC ATM, you are not required to change it and may use the PIN that you were given.

Your former HSBC Bank Canada Business Debit Card is no longer valid.

If you had one or more Full Access Cards prior to the migration, you should have received an RBC Primary Business Client Card and Additional Business Client Cards. If you did not receive an Additional Business Client Card but were expecting one, please contact 1-800 ROYAL® 2-1 (1-800-769-2521) or your Relationship Manager.

Your daily limits are presented on the carrier your RBC Business Client Card was affixed to. You can also see your daily limits through RBC digital business banking.

All Agent Card(s) for the business can only deposit into a single account at RBC (the account that has been set up as the primary chequing account).

Each Agent Card has a unique 3-digit identifier that can be used to distinguish transactions that enables easy reconciliation.

If you would like to change the primary chequing account, please call 1-800-769-2521, reach out to your Relationship Manager or visit a RBC branch, on or after April 1st, 2024.

Note: Agent Cards offer no withdrawal capabilities or access to balance information and can only be used at a RBC ATM.
