Scholarship Details

The RBC Foundation Green Skills Scholarship is for students (aged 25+) returning to school focused on climate solutions.

Application Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada; or have proof of status as a Protected Person or Convention Refugee from Immigration and Citizenship Canada (claimants are not eligible)
  • Be an adult learner over the age of 25 who is starting or returning to post-secondary studies to develop innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges
  • Must not be retired
  • Must be entering or already enrolled in part-time or full-time Diploma or Post-Graduate Certificate studies in an eligible field of study at an eligible institution*
  • Program must be a minimum length of two semesters

* Eligible institutions: Canadian educational institutions which have recognized degree/diploma-granting powers, or their affiliates (e.g., universities and colleges).

Scholarship Details

Awarded to those who show passion and a clear vision for their future.

Eligibility

For youth 15-29 years old and enrolled part time in school or not in school at all.
Grades and transcripts are not required.
Over 500 scholarships available annually
This $1,500 scholarship is flexible and can be used for any learning opportunity including short-term courses, certificates as well as necessary equipment, and much more.

Scholarship Details

20 awards worth up to $10,000 each academic year for two to four years

Eligibility

  • Students who are Status Indian*, Non-Status Indian, Inuit or Métis.
  • You are a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.
  • You have applied or are currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada.
  • You maintain a full course load that leads to a recognized degree, certificate or diploma.
  • You have shown strong potential to successfully complete the post-secondary program.
  • You require financial assistance to pursue your education.
  • You are not an RBC employee or a dependent of an RBC employee.
  • You are between the ages of 15-29 at the time of application.

*Indian as defined in Section 2(1) of the Indian Act

Scholarship Details

20 awards worth up to $10,000 each academic year for students who self-identify as Black.

Eligibility

  • You identify as a Black Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a refugee.
  • You are a high school student entering the 11th or 12th grade in the upcoming academic year to receive mentorship and other non-financial supports OR a student enrolled in post-secondary studies in the upcoming academic year.
  • You are not an RBC employee or a dependent of an RBC employee.
  • You aspire to post-secondary studies at the vocational, college diploma or bachelor degree level.
  • You must be nominated by an approved RBC community partner.

Details

RBC Pathways Award recipients earn an offer to join the RBC Capital Markets Summer Analyst Program in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, or Vancouver (in Business & Client Services, Global Markets, or Investment Banking) and a $10,000 award at the start of their internship.
