RBC wins the race in energy reduction

TORONTO, December 16, 2014 - There's a world of difference between simply participating in energy reduction strategies, and acting as a champion for them. RBC was recently recognized for its dedication to energy reduction with a Team Excellence award from Greening Greater Toronto's Race to Reduce challenge, a CivicAction initiative that works towards environmental action and innovation.

The Team Excellence award highlights the collaboration between RBC Corporate Real Estate and our multi-building landlord, Oxford Properties, for demonstrating active and ongoing commitment and partnership in reducing energy use.

The Race to Reduce challenges landlords and tenants in participating Toronto region office buildings to publicly commit to work together to reduce the total energy use in their buildings by at least 10 per cent over four years. RBC has been part of the Race since its inception three years ago and has received five Race to Reduce awards for its leadership and achievements in energy reduction.
