RBC's Gord Nixon on Bloomberg's 50 Most Influential list

September 5, 2013 RBC President and CEO, Gord Nixon, is one of only 10 bankers in the world and one of only two Canadians to appear on Bloomberg's 50 Most Influential list - a list that represents bankers, policy makers, money managers, corporate power brokers and thinkers who demonstrate leadership and influence in their field and on the world's financial system.

For the third year, reporters and editors in 146 Bloomberg News bureaus around the globe select candidates they consider to be "people with clout" who manage companies, shape economies, move markets and do deals that command attention and "change the world."

Mr. Nixon is credited for leading the "largest of the Canadian firms that consistently rank near the top of the Bloomberg Markets list of the world's strongest banks." Bloomberg highlights Mr. Nixon's endorsement of the idea that a cap on leverage is a good way to keep banks safe.
