TORONTO, June 21, 2010 - RBC is the top-rated bank in a new assessment of the environmental, social and governance practices of Canada's largest companies, released in the Globe and Mail's Report on Business today.
This list, based on publicly available information compiled by Corporate Knights, ranks the 60 largest companies that are listed on the S&P/TSX 60 as measured by market capitalization, on a variety of indicators, including taxes paid, pension fund health, board diversity, executive compensation, and energy and carbon use. RBC ranked eighth.
This honour adds to an impressive suite of recognition garnered by RBC for programs and performance related to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
