TORONTO, October 21, 2019RBC Rewards was recognized with a silver Stevie Award for the 2019 International Business Awards competition in the category of Innovation of the Year – Consumer Products Industries (external site icon) for our market leading digital currency strategy and capabilities.

The Stevie Awards are the world’s most coveted prizes honouring outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide. With more than 4,000 entries from organizations in more than 70 nations, the nomination stood out above the rest as it demonstrated RBC Rewards’ leadership position when it comes to innovation and offering a differentiated loyalty experience through RBC’s digital currency strategy.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, October 19th in Vienna, Austria and was internationally broadcasted, giving RBC Rewards worldwide exposure. Congrats to everyone involved!

This is the second time this year that RBC’s API strategy has received an industry award. In April 2019, RBC was recognized with a Celent Model Bank Award for the most holistic and pervasive API approach. The Celent Model Bank Awards recognize best practices of technology usage in different areas critical to success in banking, and is the main award that a financial institution (FI) can receive from Celent. It acknowledges a financial institution’s effective use of technology in specific areas.
