April 27, 2017 - It’s employees who ultimately determine a company’s success.
RBC has been named one of the "Best Workplaces in Canada" in an annual study by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada and The Globe and Mail.
“Being a great place to work is about purpose, performance and principles. RBCers share the view that working here is about making a difference, knowing our contributions matter and feeling fulfilled by what we do for our clients, communities, and each other,” said Zabeen Hirji, chief human resources officer at RBC. “RBCers bring to life our purpose – helping clients thrive and communities prosper. It’s what inspires us to be our best, and a big part of why we continue to be recognized as a great place to work.”
The Best Workplaces in Canada competition is based on two criteria: a survey completed by a random selection of employees, and an in-depth review of the company's culture, including an evaluation of people policies and practices. This combination of employee experience perspective and Human Resources approaches offers a rigorous and balanced representation.
This year's winners are being announced today in a special national report in The Globe and Mail.
