Centre. The Rose
and Max Rady Jewish Community Centre, located on the Asper
Jewish Community Campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is home to
social and cultural programs for children, youth, adults,

RBQ Helps the Hungry.
In the summer of 2005, RBC hosted an "RBQ" for
Winnipeg Harvest, a non-profit, community based organization
that collects and shares surplus food with people who are

Program. RBC will donate $75,000 over three years
to support the Visiting Scholar in Rural Development program,
at Brandon University. This program will ensure the continued
community sustainability and development in rural Canada.

province, Manitoba has a significant farming community.
And, like most communities, it's close-knit: when there's
an accident, it can affect everyone - and that's where Farmers

Local Initiatives
- Beausejour: The RBC Foundation donated $5,000 to Survivor's
Hope Crisis Centre Inc.
- Brandon: For a third consecutive
year, RBC donated $5,000 to the Community Adult Learning
Centre. The centre offers adult courses in literacy, computer
skills and English as a second language.
- Brandon: The RBC Foundation donated $5,000 to the Art
Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba for its Arts Connects School
Tours Program.

Carman: RBC Royal Bank
donated $5,000 to the Carman and Community United Way.

Manitou: The RBC Foundation
donated $5,000 to the Lifelong Reading Program at the
Manitou Public Library. The program encourages seniors
to keep reading by delivering literature to seniors' locations
throughout the community.

Minnedosa: The RBC Foundation
donated $6,000 to the PULSE Literacy Program, Minnedosa
Big Brothers and Sisters and Communities in Bloom.

Portage La Prairie: RBC's
Shelia Podruchny used her RBC Employee Volunteer Grant
to donate $500 to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Portage.

Winnipeg: RBC donated
$15,000 towards the Winnipeg International Children's
Festival's Circus and Magic Camp program, which teaches
kids invaluable skills such as teamwork, goal setting
and self-discipline, as well as unique circus and magic
skills.

Winnipeg: RBC employees hosted an 'RBQ' to help raise
awareness about Winnipeg Harvest, an emergency food bank.
Since 1991, RBC has donated over $41,000 to Winnipeg Harvest,
including $10,000 in 2005.

Winnipeg: RBC presented the annual Ballet in the Park
at Winnipeg. Three free performances featured students
from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.
