TORONTO, May 10, 2013 —The employees of RBC’s Personal and Commercial Banking division in Canada were recognized today with two international awards for their exceptional innovation, service, and performance in the 2013 Retail Banker International (RBI) awards. RBC beat out more than 300 banks from around the world to win the awards in this global competition lead by RBI, the London-based banking publication that analyzes and reports on the retail banking sector.
RBC Royal Bank won the top prize in the categories of Innovation in Customer Service, and Best Retail Bank in North America.

This year’s RBI Awards programme marks the second year in a row that RBC Royal Bank has been among the most recognized banks. Last year the bank won for Best Retail Bank in North America, and Retail Banker of the Year.
