Various government statutes and court rules have been enacted to assist members of the public and government agencies in collecting money and obtaining information that may be owed by certain parties.
In compliance with the Bank Act and the Support Orders and Support Provisions (Banks and Authorized Foreign Banks) Regulations,legal bug 1 the offices outlined below have been designated by Royal Bank of Canada for the service of enforcement notices in respect of family maintenance support orders or support provisions for each province.
Please note that due to the acquisition of HSBC Bank Canada by Royal Bank of Canada, the offices below are the designated offices for service of family maintenance support orders or support provisions which were previously required to be served on HSBC Bank Canada.
For service of other legal documents, please refer to the Bank Act and/or other applicable court rules and legislation of each province.
