Troubleshooting

Issues that may arise for an RBC client:

  • Unable to open the secure.pdf.

The file is AES-128 encrypted and your PDF viewing software must be able to support this algorithm. Acrobat 7.0 or latter offers this support.
  • Unable to access a .ZIP attachment that was included in the secure.pdf

Not all PDF viewing software support imbedded .zip files. You can install a pdf viewing software that supports .zip files or ask the RBC sender if it is possible to not send the file as a .zip attachment.

Please ensure you download the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/reader (opens external website in new window)
