April, 2005 — RBC Royal Bank is proud to sponsor the 2005 RBC
Royal Bank Cup, Junior 'A' hockey's national championship,
in Weyburn Saskatchewan from May 7-15, 2005.
This year, 137 Junior 'A' teams from across Canada will compete
for the RBC Royal Bank Cup, with five finalists in head-to-head
match-ups during the weeklong tournament.
In addition to some exciting hockey, the RBC Royal Bank Cup
is a community celebration featuring street hockey games for
charity, visits to local schools by players to be 'reading
buddies', coaches forums, and minor hockey skills clinics.
Many NHL players began their careers in Junior 'A' hockey
competing for the RBC Royal Bank Cup, including Rod Brind'Amour,
U.S. Olympic medallist Scott Gomez and two-time Canadian Olympic
medallist Paul Kariya.
