As a financial service provider, we know we must be sensitive to the needs of seniors. As a good corporate citizen, we actively seek programs, initiatives and partners that support the quality of life for seniors.

Local initiatives

  • Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island: RBC provided funding to the P.E.I. Seniors Safety Program, which helps seniors remain safe and independent by bringing information about personal and home safety to them in their own homes.

  • Manitou, Manitoba: The RBC Foundation donated $5,000 to the Lifelong Reading Program at the Manitou Public Library. The program encourages seniors to keep reading by delivering literature to seniors' locations throughout the community.

  • Ottawa, Ontario: With support from the RBC Foundation, 375 students from Pinecrest Public School visited the Canadian War Museum. Children participated in a Remembrance Day presentations, explored exhibits and spoke with veterans who were in attendance.


  • Prince Albert, Saskatchewan: RBC and its employees at the Prince Albert branch donated more than $19,000 to Two Miles for Mary, the seniors' transportation service that takes them to their doctor's appointments, to the bank or to the mall.
