RBC supports small businesses through Ontario's Small Business Enterprise Centres

Small business owners can face a lot of hurdles when they're starting out, and they may not yet have the expertise they need to develop a strong business plan. In Ontario, help is close at hand, with 44 Small Business Enterprise Centres across the province offering one-stop solutions, services and programs tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses. These independently-operated centres are funded by Ontario's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and various participating organizations.

Each Small Business Enterprise Centre offers potential entrepreneurs with easy access to business consulting services and information, including management, marketing, technology and financing, including:

  • Free start-up consultations with a qualified business consultant
  • Review of business plans
  • Mentoring and networking opportunities
  • Various workshops and seminars

Since 1999, RBC has sponsored a number of Small Business Enterprise Centres across the province, providing in-kind support as well as a financial contribution in the amount of $160,000.
