RBC was the presenting sponsor of this charity concert where the goal of raising $250,000 will be used to defray the costs of building and furnishing a $1 million new paediatric operating room at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

North York General Hospital currently performs 4,400 operations in its present single paediatric ward. The addition of another paediatric operating room will provide paediatric surgeons with new technology and equipment in an expanded space and offer surgeons more comfort and maneuverability during long procedures.

The paediatric operating room is also being developed to exceed current operating room standards and will incorporate the latest technologies including anaesthesia equipment adapted to monitor a child's vital signs.

RBC is committed to healthy communities - and that means supporting health care and research at both the institutional and community levels. Our employees also volunteer their time and energy to health care organizations and charities around the world.
