RBC and Iranian earthquake relief
January 5, 2004 - The Canadian
Red Cross is asking Canadians to help Iran recover from devastating
earthquakes. RBC Royal Bank will be collecting funds on behalf
of the Red Cross to support the Iran Earthquake Relief Fund.
Donations will go to the International Federation of Red
Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the Iranian Red Crescent
Society (IRCS) for immediate relief and basic assistance,
including tents, blankets, water purification tablets and
generators.
Red Cross is appealing for financial donations only, not
personal items or household goods from individuals.
You may contribute to the Iran Earthquake Relief Fund:
- through RBC Royal Bank branches across Canada;
- by calling the Canadian Red Cross at
1-800-418-1111;
- online;
- or through branches of other Canadian financial institutions.
