Mr. Yu has a sound knowledge of China's trade and investment regime, has worked with international trade forums and organizations (including Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation and Asia Europe Meeting) and participated in free trade negotiation between China and ASEAN. Prior to being appointed as the Commercial Consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto, Mr. Yu was a senior trade official with the Ministry of Commerce of China, where he worked as with UN development agencies, such as UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP, UNCTAD, UNIDO, and oversaw projects on poverty reduction, environmental protection, water conservancy, health, education, population, gender equity, legal system and governance.

Gloria Lo
Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, HKSAR

A senior civil servant of over 20 years, Miss Lo is the official representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in Canada. Her office was established in 1991 to promote and facilitate exchanges between Hong Kong and Canada, with a particular focus on trade and economic relationships. She has worked in the Civil Services Bureau, Home Affairs Department, and Financial Services Bureau. Before coming to Toronto, Miss Lo served as the Principal Assistant Secretary for the Food and Health Bureau, responsible for policy matters on public hospital services and the development of private medical industry.

He has led over 10 trade missions to China and has extensive experience helping Canadian companies find new customers for exports and new suppliers in China and South East Asia. Prior to his current role, Mr. Armstrong served as President of Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL), President and CEO for the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters Inc., and as President of the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers of Canada (AIAMC). He was the past National Chair of Hong Kong Canada Business Association, and currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
