Au moins sept&nbsp;achats sur dix effectu\u00e9s dans le cadre de l\u2019ancien programme f\u00e9d\u00e9ral ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019une subvention, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement combin\u00e9e \u00e0 des remises provinciales. Or, le soutien provincial diminue \u00e9galement. Le gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec, qui proposait auparavant une subvention cumulable de 7&nbsp;000&nbsp;$, n\u2019offre aujourd\u2019hui que 2&nbsp;000&nbsp;$, tandis que la subvention de 4&nbsp;000&nbsp;$ offerte par la Colombie-Britannique pour l\u2019achat de VE a pris fin. La plupart des autres provinces ont aussi r\u00e9duit leurs mesures incitatives&nbsp;: l\u2019\u00cele-du-Prince-\u00c9douard a diminu\u00e9 le montant de ses remises, le Nouveau-Brunswick et la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse mettent fin aux leurs, tandis que les remises offertes par le Manitoba et Terre-Neuve expirent en mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le seuil de valeur des op\u00e9rations de 50&nbsp;000&nbsp;$ fix\u00e9 pour le segment grand public est aussi susceptible de limiter l\u2019adoption. L\u2019importation de 49&nbsp;000&nbsp;v\u00e9hicules dans le cadre du nouvel accord avec la Chine pourrait donc se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler avantageuse. Toutefois, le co\u00fbt final d\u2019un VE chinois risque d\u2019\u00eatre sup\u00e9rieur aux attentes, car les importations chinoises sont toujours soumises \u00e0 un droit de douane de 6,1&nbsp;%, auquel s\u2019ajoutent les frais d\u2019exp\u00e9dition des v\u00e9hicules vers le Canada. De plus, les constructeurs chinois chercheront probablement \u00e0 accro\u00eetre leurs marges b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires par rapport \u00e0 leur march\u00e9 int\u00e9rieur concurrentiel, qui compte plus de 50&nbsp;marques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans l\u2019ensemble, la baisse des prix des VE a ralenti, d\u2019autant plus que les prix des batteries \u2013 qui repr\u00e9sentent environ le tiers des co\u00fbts des VE \u2013 se stabilisent \u00e9galement. En effet, la diff\u00e9rence de 25 \u00e0 40&nbsp;% entre le co\u00fbt d\u2019un VE chinois et celui d\u2019un VE am\u00e9ricain est principalement attribuable \u00e0 l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des processus de fabrication de batteries<sup><a href=\"#legal-5\" data-dig-id=\"LP-13424-0706f080\" data-dig-category=\"LP\" data-dig-action=\"link click\" data-dig-label=\"5\" class=\"rbc-link-format\">5<\/a><\/sup>. N\u00e9anmoins, la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un parc automobile propre d\u00e9pend de l\u2019\u00e9limination totale des \u00e9missions d\u2019\u00e9chappement<sup><a href=\"#legal-8\" data-dig-id=\"LP-13424-4c18a4fd\" data-dig-category=\"LP\" data-dig-action=\"link click\" data-dig-label=\"8\" class=\"rbc-link-format\">8<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les constructeurs automobiles am\u00e9ricains ont d\u00e9sormais la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019adapter leur technologie pour se conformer \u00e0 la r\u00e9glementation, ce qui pourrait retarder la transition vers l\u2019\u00e9lectrification totale au profit des voitures hybrides, qui \u00e9mettent pr\u00e8s de moiti\u00e9 moins de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre et sont propos\u00e9es \u00e0 des prix plus avantageux.
