Boardroom Carpet

The 40th floor incorporates elements from coast to coast. The Boardroom carpet design becomes a powerful representation of the vast and diverse landscape of Canada by capturing the captivating beauty of the 3,600 square kilometers of pristine wilderness known as the Heiltsuk Icefield.

The Icefield is located in traditional Heiltsuk Nation territory, a First Nation whose history in the region referred to today as the Central Coast of British Columbia goes back as far as 11,500 years.

Beyond its dynamic design the concept carries an environmental message. As we strive to raise awareness about the fragility and importance of our natural world, this narrative serves as a reminder of the need to protect and preserve our planet. It symbolizes our responsibility as custodians of the Earth and encourages sustainable practices. The artwork for the carpet is based on a photograph taken from the International Space Station in 2009.

The round profile of this feature carpet is accented by the custom round boardroom table anchoring the space. The veins in the white marble top complement the organic lines of the carpet. The circle is an important symbol in the Indigenous culture – signifying a space that provisions for equality, relationship, respect, gathering, listening and learning from one another.

The Boardroom Carpet is a statement piece that carries a powerful message, reinforcing the harmonious blend of natural beauty, science, and human connection that this design symbolizes. Let it spark conversation, evoke a sense of wonder, and inspire everyone’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
