Be your best at your interview. At RBC, we use a behavioral style interview as we’re interested in how you’ve reacted in past situations. We understand that interviewing can be a little stressful, so to help, our recruiters are trained to put you at ease and bring out your talents.
Your first interview may be held in person or via phone. A recruiter will ask about your experience, skills, and your fit for the position and RBC.
A second interview usually takes place onsite, with your potential manager. This gives you the chance to evaluate our working environment and colleagues, and for RBC to evaluate a good future employment relationship.

Be confident about your skills, your experience and your goals. Our recruiters are looking for people who are motivated, inspired and eager to learn in our fast paced environment.
Set up a mock interview with a friend or colleague and be comfortable with talking about yourself. One of the hardest things about interviews is being confident talking about your experience and applying it to the position you’re aiming for.
Dress For Success
Understand the culture you’re applying for and dress appropriately. If in doubt, dress to impress; recruiters will be more inclined to focus on an applicant if they look the part they’re applying for.
Don’t be nervous, we’re not asking trick questions! Listen carefully to the interviewer and respond clearly; we’re asking questions we’re interested in hearing the answers to.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions to the interviewer, whether it be clarification, or to further interest. We’re looking for inquisitive minds that can show they can think outside the box.
