We make equity investments in companies offering software and technology that is strategically relevant to the financial services industry. This includes companies offering information technology solutions that address the following:

The Software & Technology Fund focuses on early stage investments; however, investments in later stage companies are considered and we will occasionally evaluate seed financing opportunities where we can make a significant strategic impact. We consider investment opportunities throughout North America, often syndicating our investments with other high quality financial investors who will actively participate in the growth and development of the company. Typical initial investments range from $4 million to $6 million and we are active board participants.
Financial Services Fund
The Financial Services Fund invests in growth-stage innovative consumer-oriented technology-enabled financial services businesses in the United States and select international geographies. This includes companies that have already brought the following products and services to market:
- mass affluent investment and wealth management solutions
- social networking, social lending (P2P lending), and social investing
- micro finance/lending
- stored value and prepaid offerings
- payment services/money transfer/remittance services
- mobile payments
- small business services
- products and services for the under-banked
The investment characteristics of interest to us include a focus on private companies with well developed service offerings, identifiable core customer bases, and scaleable proven business models with attractive growth prospects and potential for high margins. Typically these companies are differentiated by embedded innovative technologies or process solutions. They are also characterized by revenue and profit growth, positive EBITDA, experienced and proven management teams, large addressable markets, and revenues in the range of $10 million to $50 million. The Fund will generally make individual investments of $10 million to $25 million as lead investor and we are active board participants.
