Collect All 17 Commemorative Coins
Beginning February 23, 2007, RBC Royal Bank will be teaming up with the Royal Canadian Mint to circulate the first of 17 commemorative coins marking the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The coins will be released between now and November 2009 at every RBC Royal Bank branch across Canada.
We encourage you to join us in our countdown to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and share in Canada's dream of going for gold by collecting and saving these special Canadian coins.
Of the 17 coins, twelve 25-cent coins will depict ten Olympic winter sports and two Paralympic winter sports. Three additional 25-cent coins will feature designs of Canadian athlete medalists.
Two one-dollar Lucky Loonie coins will also be struck. The first will be released prior to Beijing 2008 and the second prior to Vancouver 2010. RBC Royal Bank will be the exclusive distributor of the Lucky Loonie circulation coins.
