The judicial process

Below is a timeline for the 2008 competition’s key dates:

• May 2^nd, 2008
  Competition Closes

• Note: All artists who are being seriously considered will be contacted between June 2-13 2008 for further inquiries. Artists who have been contacted have 48 hours to respond back otherwise they will be removed from the consideration list.

• July 2^nd, 2008
  All 15 semi-finalists will be contacted and announced

• September 2008
  A national winner and two honourable mentions will be announced. Please check RBC Painting Competition website or www.canadianart.ca for the announcement. A cross-country exhibition tour of the 15 semi-finalists begins.

• October 2008
  15 semi-finalists will be highlighted in Fall issue of Canadian Art magazine.

• December 2008
  The national winner and honourable mentions will be featured in the Winter issue of Canadian Art magazine.

• April 3^rd 2009
  The exhibition tour wraps up.
