Meaghan's Bio
Meaghan Mikkelson is enjoying her second season as a member of the national women’s ice hockey team. She dreams of representing Canada and winning gold at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Athletic Goals
• To represent Canada and win gold in the 2009 World Championships
• To represent Canada and win gold in the 2010
• To continue to improve as an athlete so that I can become the best player I can be.
Favourite Olympic/Sporting Moment
• Participating in the 2008 World Championships. Making the National Team for the first time in my career was a very exciting experience.
• Winning a second National Championship with Wisconsin in my last game as a UW Badger.
Best Advice You've Ever Received
I am a very strong believer of “Being in the moment”, staying in the present, and LIVING IN THE NOW!
Being an RBC Athlete means...
Being categorized as an Olympian with the other great athletes that represent RBC is truly an honor. I am proud to join the RBC team and believe that it will provide me with valuable work experience that, without the opportunity that RBC has presented, I may not otherwise have been able to gain while competing in my sport.
