On November 1, 2007, RBC announced its new title sponsorship of the Canadian Open — a five-year deal through 2012.
Since its inception in 1904, the Canadian Open has played host to the world's best golfers and produced countless memorable moments. Sports fans around the world have been entertained by legends including former champions Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Jim Furyk. Jack Nicklaus, considered by many to be the greatest golfer ever, was the runner-up seven times.
