The first Royal Bank of Canada Monthly Letter was published
in April 1920, and is still published today, under the name
RBC Letter.

In December 1943, Mr. John R. Heron, Public Relations Adviser, took
over the writing of the Monthly Letter. The Executive decided that our letter
should deal with subjects of general interest which would appeal to a far wider
reading public, not only to groups interested in economic and related subjects.
