RBC named to FTSE4Good Index
July,
2007 — For the 7th consecutive year, RBC has
been named to the FTSE4Good Index Series. This index, used
primarily by socially responsible investors in the United
Kingdom and Europe, is designed to facilitate investment in
companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility
standards. Companies on the index have met stringent social,
ethical and environmental criteria, and considered are best
positioned to capitalise on the benefits of responsible business
practices.
This honour adds to an impressive suite of recognition garnered
by RBC for programs and performance related to sustainability
and corporate responsibility, including RBC having been named
"greenest" large company in the world in Newsweek
International online in April, 2007 for our ability to effectively
manage environmental risks and opportunities relative to our
industry peers.
RBC is also listed on the 2007 Dow Jones Sustainability Index,
recognizing the world's financial, social and environmental
corporate leaders, as well as the Jantzi Social Index.
RBC considers corporate responsibility to include ethical
business practices, having a positive economic impact, operating
with integrity in the marketplace, providing a supportive
