SYDNEY, October 23, 2016 - More than 800 people walked and ran through Centennial Park on Saturday in the third annual RBC Race for the Kids in Sydney supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The 5km charity run raised $90,000 for Starlight’s hospital programs, including the Starlight Express Room and Captain Starlight Programs at Sydney’s two major children’s hospitals - the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Four-time Olympic gold-medal winner, Libby Trickett OAM again supported the event as ambassador for the RBC Race for the Kids.

“We are delighted with the level of support we received from our employees and the community,” said Dominic Hudson, Head of Investment Banking, Asia-Pacific and Chief Country Officer. “RBC has a significant presence in Sydney and we’re proud to build on the company’s global commitment to helping communities prosper.”

'With the generous support of RBC and the funds raised through this event, Starlight will be able to continue to brighten the lives of sick kids and their families, by replacing pain, fear and stress with fun, joy and laughter,” said Louise Baxter, CEO, Starlight.
