RBC named one of Canada's "Best 50 Corporate Citizens" and one of the “Top Green Companies in the World”

TORONTO, June 7, 2016 - Today, RBC was named as one of the "Best 50 Corporate Citizens" in Canada in 2016 by Corporate Knights magazine and one of the “Top Green Companies in the World” for 2016 by Newsweek.

The Corporate Knights Best 50 methodology is based on an evaluation of the environmental, social and governance performance of Canada's leading companies and is recognized globally as a best practice for transparency and objectivity. This is the 15th year in a row RBC is being recognized with this honour.

Newsweek ranks the world’s largest companies on corporate sustainability and environmental impact in partnership with Corporate KnightsHIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor Inc., and leading sustainability minds from nongovernmental organizations and the academic and accounting communities.

These recent honours add to an impressive suite of recognition garnered by RBC for programs and performance related to environmental sustainability and corporate citizenship. This includes recently being recognized as one of the “Best workplaces in Canada and one of “Canada’s Greenest Employers
