RBC named one of Canada's "Best 50 Corporate Citizens" for 2015

TORONTO, June 4, 2015 -  Today, RBC was named as one of the "Best 50 Corporate Citizens" in Canada, based on an evaluation of the environmental, social and governance performance of Canada's leading companies by Corporate Knights magazine.

The ranking, based on publicly available information, measures a diverse range of Canadian enterprises based on twelve sustainability metrics, including greenhouse gas productivity, leadership diversity and pension fund quality. Companies are ranked against their industry peers, and scored on a 0-100% scale using only those metrics that are widely disclosed in their respective industry.

This honour adds to an impressive suite of recognition garnered by RBC for programs and performance related to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility, including being named as one of Canada’s “Top 50 Most Socially Responsible Corporations” in the June 15, 2015 issue of Maclean’s magazine, released today.
