The Worried Generation – new white paper based on RBC Youth Optimism Survey released

May 7, 2015 -  In 2014, the RBC Kids Optimism Survey was launched to talk to kids and youth directly about their hopes and fears for the future, in their own voices. The study provides an unprecedented sounding of young people’s feelings in Canada about their lives.

To recognize national Child & Youth Mental Health Day in Canada we’ve released a white paper based on the Study.  Penned by Rona Maynard, author, mental health advocate and former editor of Chatelaine magazine, this paper highlights the findings in the Optimism Study through stories and interviews with leading health professionals on why optimism matters, how some of our youth are struggling to find that light at the end of the tunnel and what parents can do to help.

It also features our very own RBC Olympian, Brian Price and his remarkable story of adversity in his youth and how he turned it into a championship rowing career.

Let the conversation begin.
