RBC donates $75,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for Nepal earthquake relief

TORONTO, April 27, 2015 -  RBC Foundation announced today a $75,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support relief efforts for those affected by the earthquake in Nepal and surrounding regions. RBC has requested that its donation be directed where it is needed most for emergency relief which can include food, clean water, shelter and medical aid.

“Our hearts and sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of the many people whose lives were lost as a result of this devastating earthquake,” said Shari Austin, vice-president, Corporate Citizenship, RBC. “We are committed to helping the people of the region recover and begin to rebuild from this horrific event.”
