RBC Blue Water Project announces deadline for 2015 Leadership and Community Action Grants

RBC to celebrate Blue Water Day on Thursday June 4, 2015

TORONTO, November 14, 2014 -  It could be that extra few moments in the shower or running a half-full dishwasher, the fact is, many of us take fresh water for granted. With most of the world’s population now living in urban centres, the RBC Blue Water Project focuses its support on initiatives that help protect and preserve water in towns, cities and urbanized areas. Finding solutions to ease the increasing strain on resources in these regions can help protect the world’s most precious natural resource: fresh water.

Today, RBC announced the deadlines for expressions of interest for the RBC Blue Water Project 2015 Leadership Grant and applications for Community Action Grants. Both are now being accepted online.

  • Expressions of interest for RBC Blue Water Project 2015 Leadership Grants ($10,001 to $100,000) are being accepted until December 15, 2014.
  • Organizations that qualify for a 2015 Leadership Grant will be then be invited to complete a full application by January 12, 2015.
  • Applications for Community Action Grants ($1,000 to $10,000) are due on January 22, 2015.

The urban water focus applies to Leadership Grants and Community Action Grants. Organizations with projects in any of the countries and regions in which RBC is located, including Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the British Isles, and Asia Pacific may qualify for funding.

Information, application guidelines, and new online application system can all be found at www.rbc.com/bluewater. All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted.
