RBC Royal Bank Supports Clients & Residents of Alberta Affected by Flooding

CALGARY, June 26, 2013 - RBC Royal Bank is supporting clients affected by the flooding in Alberta with special financial considerations and assistance to help them through this challenging time.

RBC clients affected by the floods in Alberta may have special accommodation arranged for short-term payment deferrals on mortgages, personal loans and credit cards. Small business clients will also be afforded special accommodation through their account managers.

"We know that many of our clients are facing unique challenges in the aftermath of this devastating flooding and we encourage them to contact us or come into a branch if they require any special financial accommodation," said Bruce MacKenzie, regional president, Alberta and the Territories, RBC Royal Bank. "The well-being of our clients and employees is a top priority and making things easier for them is very important to us."

RBC has made a $125,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support relief efforts for those affected by the flooding. The bank is also collecting donations on behalf of the Red Cross at all RBC locations across Canada to support flood victims.

Clients who are impacted by the flooding may call 1-800-769-2511 (personal) 1-800-769-2520 (business) to find information on their local branch or discuss financial needs. Clients can also access their accounts using online and telephone banking, ATMs or at an RBC branch.
