Marty Lippert is Vice-Chairman and Group Head, Global Technology
and Operations. As a member of the Group Executive, he is
one of eight executives charged with setting the overall strategic
direction of RBC.
Mr. Lippert has global responsibility for the strategic direction
and effective integration of technology and operations for
all of RBC's products, service delivery and support services.
He also oversees the development and ongoing execution of
RBC's electronic channel strategies and initiatives.
Mr. Lippert is Vice-Chairman of RBC Dexia Investor Services,
an equally owned joint venture of Royal Bank of Canada and
Dexia. He is chairman of the board of Moneris Solutions and
serves on the board of the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga,
Ontario and the IBM Corporation board of advisors.
Before joining RBC in August 1997, Mr. Lippert spent 16 years
at Mellon Bank Corporation of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where
he served in increasingly senior level positions in the Information
Management and Research Division. Prior to leaving Mellon
Bank, he headed the division and served as a member of the
Corporate Senior Management Committee.
Born in Pittsburgh, Mr. Lippert graduated from the University
of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Lippert
is married with three children.
