The New Yorker's Adam Gopnick to Host
RBC Canadian Painting Competition Awards Gala
14th annual competition celebrates country's top emerging artists
TORONTO, November 20, 2012 - On Thursday, November
29, 2012, RBC will announce the winners of the 14th annual
RBC Canadian Painting Competition. The competition, one of
the largest of its kind, celebrates emerging visual artists
from across Canada, with a total of $55,000 in prize money.
The winners are chosen by an esteemed panel of jurors including
Nigel Prince, Clint Roensich and Jonathan Shaughnessy.
This special event will be hosted by renowned essayist, commentator
and writer at The New Yorker, Adam Gopnik and will
feature live performances by renowned Montreal recording artist,
Florence K.
