RBC Royal Bank Changes Residential Mortgage Rates

TORONTO, October 7, 2011 — RBC Royal Bank announced today that it is changing its Residential Mortgage rate offers effective October 11, 2011.

The changes are as follows:

Special Variable Rate Offers*

5 Year Variable Closed

Prime - 0.10%

(increased by 0.15 per cent)

(2.90%)

Special Fixed Rate Offers*

Five-Year Fixed Closed

4.09%

(increased by 0.10 per cent)

Variable Rate Mortgages

5 Year Variable Rate Open

Prime + 1.00%

(increased by 0.30 per cent)

(4.00%)

Fixed Rate Mortgages

Three-year closed

4.05%

(decreased by 0.30 per cent)

Five-Year Closed

5.29%

(increased by 0.10 per cent)
