RBC Rewards Clicks with Travelocity to Launch New Online Booking Tool

TORONTO, October 5, 2011 — RBC today announced that it will be launching a new online travel booking tool in collaboration with Travelocity, a leading full service travel website. The tool will make it more convenient for Canadians to book travel with their RBC Rewards points and gives clients more choice and flexibility.

"Canadians want their travel redemption experience to be as simple and convenient as possible - a one step process," said Karen Leggett, senior vice-president, Cards & Payment Solutions, RBC. "This new relationship and tool will allow our clients to use their RBC Rewards points or a combination of points and cash instantly, in the same way that they would when they book a trip online."

The new RBC Rewards online travel booking tool will offer users the ability to log into RBC Rewards to book their next vacation with access to Travelocity's sales and special promotions.

"We want to give Canadians the best online travel rewards booking experience in the country," added Leggett. "This relationship allows us to do that by ensuring that there aren't multiple steps for our clients to access points for travel."
