Capital Markets third semi-annual survey on the global capital
markets : Tipping Points Global Perspectives
on Navigating The Great Divergence
TORONTO, February 4, 2011 Richard Talbot,
Co-Head of Global Research, discusses
the findings of RBC Capital Markets third semi-annual global
survey of over 460 senior executives around the world to get
their perspectives of the Capital Markets. The the survey,
which was produced in collaboration with the Economist Intelligence
Unit (EIU), was completed in January 2011. Its findings have
now been published as a white paper entitled, "Tipping
Points -- Global perspectives on navigating "The Great
Divergence" and stories have run in major financial
publications including the Financial Times and The
Globe and Mail.
Respondents to the survey comprised of senior level executives
from both financial services and non-financial industries,
spanning a diverse range of geographies and sizes. This years
survey measures the sentiment of global executives at a time
when global imbalances between the developed and developing
world are producing diverging outcomes in economic prospects
and fiscal and monetary policies. In particular it looks at
the U.S., European and Emerging Markets economies.
