RBC Capital Markets Appoints Francisco Gonzalez to
U.S. Municipal Finance Group
NEW YORK, November 3, 2010 RBC Capital
Markets today announced the appointment of Francisco Gonzalez
to its U.S. Municipal Finance Group. He joins as a managing
director based in New York, and will report to Jim Tricolli,
head of the group's East region.
In his new role, Gonzalez will work primarily in the Large
Issuer group, responsible for covering large municipal issuers
and infrastructure clients along the U.S. East Coast and Mid-Atlantic
states, as well as Puerto Rico. In addition to this mandate,
Gonzalez will also work on Public-Private Partnerships (P3)
and Infrastructure projects, coordinating closely with the
firm's Infrastructure Finance business. He joins one of the
largest Municipal Finance practices in the U.S., with more
than 340 professionals based in 26 cities.
Gonzalez joins RBC Capital Markets from Goldman Sachs, where
he spent 19 years, most recently as a managing director in
the firm's Public Sector and Infrastructure group. In that
role, he was responsible for leading teams with coverage responsibility
for Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts and other Northeast
states, and Puerto Rico. In the area of P3 advisory and infrastructure
finance, he led or participated in major toll road assignments
in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico.
