A wave of support: RBC calls for Blue Water Project Grant

Grants range from $25,000 to $500,000 with an application
deadline of March 12, 2010
TORONTO, February 3, 2010— Applications are
now being accepted for the RBC Blue Water Project Leadership
Grants. These grants will provide funding for projects related
to watershed protection and access to safe drinking water.
RBC Blue Water Project Leadership Grants range from $25,000
to $500,000 and are eligible for any local, regional, national
or trans-border organizations with projects in any of the
countries in which RBC is located, including Canada, the United
States, Caribbean and the British Isles.
The deadline for applications is Friday, March 12, 2010,
and grant recipients will be notified by June 30, 2010.
The RBC Blue Water Project is a 10-year, $50 million philanthropic
commitment to support organizations that are committed to
watershed protection and providing access to clean drinking
water. Since 2007, RBC has committed more than $20.48 million
in single and multi-year grants to 155 organizations worldwide.
This includes $1 million to support the efforts of ONE DROP
and Oxfam to provide access to water and sanitation to the
people of Haiti and rebuild small water and sanitation infrastructure
damaged in January's devastating earthquake.
