Take your shot at $100,000 at the RBC Avion Golf Challenge
Putt like the pros on Bay Street's "one-of-a-kind"
putting green!!!
TORONTO — Leading up to the 100th playing of
the RBC Canadian Open at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville,
ON, RBC is inviting the public to come and experience a unique
six-hole, 1,700-square foot putting green in the heart of
downtown Toronto. Beginning July 13, participants with the
lowest scores can qualify to earn a spot in the semi-finals,
taking place at Royal Bank Plaza in Toronto on July 24. Five
lucky finalists will then have the opportunity to take their
best shot at a 60-foot putt on the 18th green at Glen Abbey
Golf Club immediately following the final round of the RBC
Canadian Open on Sunday, July 26 for their chance to win $100,000.
What:
The RBC Avion Golf Challenge tests players' skills and nerves
as they putt to win for themselves and for charity on a unique
six-hole golf course in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Participation is free. Full rules and regulations
for the Challenge will be available as of July 13 at www.rbcaviongolfchallenge.com.
Why:
Each finalist has the chance to win $100,000. For every winning
putt, an additional $100,000 will be shared between two charities
- $50,000 to the Mike Weir Foundation and $50,000 to the Reach
Out Centre for Kids (ROCK)

When:
Monday July 13 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday July 14 to Friday July 17 and Monday July 20 to Thursday
July 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily
Friday July 24 10 a.m. to noon - Semi-finals start at 2 p.m.
Five lucky finalists will then take their best shot at a
60-foot putt on the 18th green at Glen Abbey immediately following
the final round of the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday, July 26.
