Group Head, Global Technology and Operations, leaves RBC
TORONTO, July 3, 2008 — RBC today announced
that Marty Lippert, Group Head, Global Technology and Operations,
RBC, has left the bank to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Lippert joined RBC in 1997 as Head of Systems and Technology.
Over the last few years he assumed increased responsibilities
and most recently, led the consolidation of the various operations
and information technology capabilities across RBC.
"Mr. Lippert has made a significant contribution to
the success of RBC throughout his career," said Gordon
M. Nixon, president and CEO, RBC. "I would like to thank
him for his leadership and wish him well in his future endeavours."
RBC will be undertaking a thorough review with respect to
appointing Mr. Lippert's successor. In the interim, the Global
Technology and Operations management committee will report
to Janice Fukakusa, RBC's Chief Financial Officer.
