Help choose RBC's Next Great InnovatorJanuary 27th is the peer voting deadline to pick the fifth team finalist
WHAT:
RBC's Next Great Innovator Challenge asked university
and college students from across Canada to "describe
an innovation, idea or concept that Canadian financial institutions
should consider to make it easier for clients to do business
with us." Submissions were received from more than 100
teams, from schools across Canada and narrowed down to the
top 15 entries. The 15 submissions were then reviewed by the
RBC Innovation Council and the top four were selected as finalists.
The Council also chose five additional submissions for the
web-based peer voting selection process, which starts on January
16, 2008, and gives students the ability to choose the fifth
finalist.
WHY:
RBC is inviting students to choose the fifth finalist through
a web-based voting process. The entry that receives the most
votes will be chosen as the fifth finalist. Competing for
more than $45,000 in total prizes, the top five teams will
come to Toronto for final evaluation by the RBC Next Great
Innovator judging panel consisting of some of RBC's top executives.
WHO:
Anyone with a computer can vote for their favourite idea.
HOW:
Visit www.nextgreatinnovator.com
to view a short synopsis of each entry that is eligible for
peer voting and then vote for your favourite idea.
WHEN:
Voting will be open from January 16 through to January 27,
2008.
