RBC Direct Investing clients can win $25,000 to invest
TORONTO, January 11, 2008 — Even though the
height of the gift-giving season is behind us, RBC Direct
Investing is starting the new year by giving self-directed
investors a chance to win* a grand prize of $25,000 to invest.
For every $15,000 clients deposit or transfer into a new
or existing RBC Direct Investing account from other sources,
they will be automatically entered for a chance to win the
grand prize. There are also other ways in which to enter.
Clients can set up an automatic investment plan with a minimum
of $100 per month to earn a chance to win. RBC will also cover
transfer fees up to $125 for investors who transfer-in $15,000
or more.
"Our 'Win $25,000 to Invest' contest is being held
at a time when people tend to think about how they want to
manage their investments in the new year. And who wouldn't
want an extra $25,000 to invest?" said Doug Coulter,
president and CEO, RBC Direct Investing. "This contest
demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide self-directed
investors with greater value and rewards for their business."
At RBC Direct Investing, investors can qualify for trade
commissions as low as $6.95 flat (www.rbcdirectinvesting.com/lowtrades)
and have exclusive access to over 40 Series D RBC Funds across
a variety of asset classes with significantly lower management
fees starting from 0.60 per cent (www.rbcdirectinvesting.com/seriesd).
"With Series D pricing, lower commissions for more clients,
and a chance to win $25,000 to invest, we believe RBC Direct
Investing offers self-directed investors outstanding value
in the online brokerage marketplace," Mr. Coulter added.
The contest is open to new and existing RBC Direct Investing
clients and runs between January 2 to March 28, with the winner
selected on April 21. Contest details are available at www.rbcdirectinvesting.com/roof.
