RBC executives to speak at RBC Capital Markets Canadian Financial services Conference

TORONTO, January 12, 2007 — Gordon M. Nixon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Bank of Canada (RY on TSX and NYSE), is scheduled to participate in a question and answer session at RBC Capital Markets' Canadian Financial Services Conference in Toronto on January 17, 2007, between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. (EST).

In addition, John Hamilton, Vice-President and National Manager, Insurance Services, RBC Dominion Securities Inc., is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on "Leveraging Independent Distribution" with executives from other financial institutions between 9:40 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. (EST).

Neil Skelding, President and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Insurance, will also participate in a panel discussion called "Bancassurance" scheduled to run from 2:35 p.m. to
3:10 p.m. (EST).
