What's changed and what's the same

March 28, 2004--You've probably noticed that our websites look different than they used to. We've launched a phased redesign of all our sites to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for, starting with the English homepages for all our Canadian businesses. And while the appearance of our sites may be changing, all the content you're used to finding will remain the same, and we hope you'll find it easier than ever to do your banking.

How to access your online banking and online services

We're now providing access to a wide range of online banking and other online services from the same spot on each of our businesses' homepages. This will be especially convenient if you happen to use online services from more than one of the companies under the RBC umbrella. Just look for the words "Sign In" in the upper left corner of the page. Here's an example from our new RBC Royal Bank Personal Banking page:

How to find information about RBC Financial Group

All the information about RBC that used to appear in the left hand navigation area on the homepage of rbc.com can now be found by clicking on the "About RBC" link found just underneath our logo on the left hand side of the page. You'll be taken to an index page that provides all the links you're used to seeing.

New

Links to "Privacy", "Security", and "Legal Terms and Use" will remain in the footer at the bottom of all pages.

How to find products and services

From our businesses' homepages, all you need to do now is identify whether you're an individual looking for personal services, a company looking for business services, or a corporation looking for corporate services, and then select the geographic region you'd like to find those services in. With one click, you'll be taken to the information that's right for you.

If you're on the site of one of our Canadian businesses, you can change your geographic preference or even navigate between our different business groups from the new global navigation bar at the top of each page. Not sure if RBC Financial Group has the service you're looking for? It's now easier for you to see the wide range of products and services offered by the various companies under the RBC Financial Group umbrella, thanks to our new global navigation.

What's next

By the end of 2005, all our web pages will have the same navigation, look and feel. Look for our French sites to change in the Summer of 2004, and the sites for our American and international operations to change by the end of 2005.

We hope you like what you see, but more importantly, we hope it's easier for you to find what you're looking for, more quickly than ever before. After all, you've got a life to live.

About our new advertising

Our new website design is an important way that RBC is putting your needs first. That's also the message we're taking to the public through our new advertising, launching in English Canada on March 29, 2004.
