Judging and Prizes
There are four stages of judging:
- The RBC Applied Innovation Team will evaluate all initial submissions. Based on the written submission alone, they will select the top 20 submissions.
- A panel of innovative RBC executives will review the top 20 submissions using the same pre-determined criteria. The panel will select the top four submissions as finalists. They will also select five additional teams for peer voting to determine the fifth finalist.
- The public will vote online to select the fifth finalist from the peer voting candidates.
- RBC will bring the top five teams to Toronto for the final evaluation event. Teams will have 15 minutes to present their idea to the final judging panel of senior RBC executives and will have 15 minutes for Q&A with the panel. The judges will evaluate teams on both their written component and their presentation.
