RBC offers a coaching service for participants in the Next Great Innovator Challenge. Your coaches will be available for questions and assistance on a rotating basis, you can interact with them on facebook, or email us at nextgreatinnovator@rbc.com for written feedback and answers to your questions.
Coaches for this year’s Competition are:
Sunita Guyadeen
As a Senior Program Manager within Technology & Operations, Sunita Guyadeen is responsible for managing from concept through to implementation large strategic initiatives that impact Retail Credit Origination systems. In this role Sunita manages a team of project managers and technical systems analysts that are responsible for developing and delivering technology solutions that enable business requirements.
Sunita joined RBC in 2010. Prior to that she had progressive careers at both Nortel Networks and Rogers Communications Inc. She brings to her role at RBC over 13 years of experience in technology with the last 6 being at the Sr. Management level. Sunita holds two Bachelors degrees from McMaster University in the physical and mathematical sciences, and a Masters of Business Administration from Queens University. She is a PMP (project management professional). Sunita is also a food enthusiast and has completed a number of professional cooking classes at George Brown College.
Cindy Louie
As a Project Manager with RBC, Cindy Louie’s primary responsibilities include point of contact for Business partners on assigned projects and ensuring the successful IT project delivery from planning to implementation and close out. Cindy has been with RBC for over a year and is a PMP (project management professional).
To her position at RBC Cindy brings over 6+ years of Project Management experience, including her role of Project Manager at Bell Canada in professional services interacting with external clients. Cindy graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, with a degree in Communications and Business. She also has the distinction of participating in the RBC internal Innovation Challenge, with a team placing in the Top 9 finish. She believes that innovation is important to renew and create better synergies for positive changes.
Kenneth Shiu
A graduate of York University, Kenneth holds a BA in Economics. His current position within RBC is that of a Project Control Officer (PCO).
To his role Kenneth brings 11 + years of experience in the Financial Industry with a combination of Branch Retail (credit and investments) and Project Management experiences. He also brings 12 + years of experience with the City of Toronto and has worked as a Team Lead, Event Coordinator, and Managed Facilities.
Hannan Uppal
Hannan recently graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelors of Commerce. His experience prior to RBC includes a position with Glentel Inc., a large cellular technology retailer.
At RBC, he recently completed an IT Rotational Program, which consisted of 3 distinct roles: Project Control Officer (PCO), Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and Project Manager (PM). The program duration was 9 months and upon its completion, Hannan assumed a Full-Time role as a PCO.
Parthiban Manoharan (Parthi)
Parthi comes from a Chemical Engineering background gained at the University of Toronto and joined RBC 10 months ago as part of the IT Rotational Program in Technology and Operations. The program provided a breadth of experience in Business Systems Analyst, Project Control Officer and Project Manager roles. Since graduating from the 9 month program, he currently holds the position of a Business Systems Analyst under the Retail Credit Origination program.
Parthi was privileged to be part of NGI in 2010, where he assisted with the logistics of the Final Presentation and the Gala Awards Ceremony. He thought it was especially wonderful to see all the candidates from various schools presenting innovative ideas that actually do get implemented in the bank. Parthi also enjoys photography and films.
